Happy Swiss National Day!

To celebrate, we took the grandparents to all things swiss.

A band!

A big bonfire!

Chocolate of course.

The green, green hills.

The typical swiss village of Gruyere.

Random animals on the side of the road.

Happy National Swiss Day everyone.

A fun, adrenaline filled day out

Chateaus and old villages can get boring for us kids so mum and dad took us to an awesome park.

There were lots of rides, and to warm up we took a tame one so that the grandparents could go on too.

Then we went on some faster ones...

...and higher ones...

 ... and spinning ones...

...and finally, we went on this!!

Totally wicked day out!!

Fun family holiday in France

Some lovely weather, good food, a lovely house and a great family made for a relaxing summer holiday. We all deserved some time off.

Countryside and chateaus.

On top of the amazing village of St Emilion.

Another church, another village (St Foy la Grande)

Always time on the holiday for a jigsaw.

Always nice weather to eat out.

They even sell wine here!!

Ahh... long summer days...

Fun with les grandparents

Les grandparents sont arrivé!
They were straight into babysitting duty, first up to the pools.

Some sightseeing at the Red Cross museum.

La fête de la Tomate (Tomato festival) was on. There were lots of tomatoes of course.

Yeh yeh found an old tractor.

There were some very swiss things too.

We also took mah mah back to her favourite french village - Yvoire.

Her favourite holiday pastime - eating at a café.

Oh, so tiring looking after the grandparents.

Guess the city - part 3

Mum and dad found some cooler weather elsewhere when summer was heating up in Geneva.
They found a fish made from rubbish.

Big clue - a silver statue that looks a bit like the little mermaid.

Finally, a castle that inspired Shakespeare's Hamlet.

That's right, it's Helsingor (Denmark).

School's out!

To celebrate the end of the school year, a marching band has been hired!

And a couple of really, really tall people...

...or maybe they were just on stilts.

The kids joined in the march with their class.

There was entertainment to congratulate the children on their hard work throughout the year.

You could get your face painted too.
