A quick hop over to Barcelona

Mum and Sammy visited the beautiful city of Barcelona.
They managed to visit the most famous church that is still unfinished after 100 years!!
(It is due to be completed in 2026, so be sure to visit it when it's finished!)

Absolutely stunning from afar.

Being close to royalty in Barcelona.

And the food, don't forget the food.

Even the park has gingerbread houses. Oh wait, no, that is another Gaudi design.
Fabulous use of mosaics.

Sammy at her best.

Enjoying some beach time without the crowds,

Can't leave without enjoying a Sangria.

Cousins hanging out together

It has been very cool hanging out with Sammy.
We did lots of activities together including some ice-skating.

Hanging out with some stone Ninjas (ok, these are the statues outside the Red Cross museum)

Somewhere blue...

Building robots at the mall.

Meanwhile, mum and dad were somewhere else...

Can you guess where?

A wee visit to the Swiss Transport Museum.

In the beautiful city of Lucerne.
The Dying Lion monument. So sad.

A rare night out sans enfants!!
At a pub watching the rugby! Go All Blacks!!

(Actually we won comfortably against France that night, making it through to the semis.)

On top of the world!

Some gorgeous views of the Swiss and French Alps
(Mount Blanc in the background - the one with the smooth snow capped peak)

We are so high up!!
(And it is cold!!)

Just standing in the Void.
(Don't look down if you are scared of heights)

Sam found some rocks to climb. Of course, we followed.

Wish you were here too!
(This is the blue lake, which was bluer than what the photo shows).
